Wilma A. Swartley, of Pottstown, passed away early Saturday morning at the Fleetwood home of her daughter Jennifer at age 67.? She was the wife of the late James Swartley who died in 1992.?
She was born in Spring City, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Irene V. (Mosteller) Carfagno.? Wilma was a graduate Bishop Kenrick High School. She was employed for many years as a nurse's aide at the former Pennhurst State Hospital.?
She is survived by two daughters: Sharon M. Faust and husband Thomas, of Hamburg and Jennifer R. Gill and husband Joseph, of Fleetwood; four sons: Joseph R. Lutz and wife April, of Pottstown, Derrick A. Lutz, of Reading, David A. Murphy, of Royersford, and Anthony J. Murphy and wife Sherry, of Douglassville; two brothers: John Carfagno and wife Grace, of Trappe and Joseph Carfagno and wife Claire, of Royersford; thirteen grandchildren including Scott M. Lutz, whom she raised, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.?
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.? Calling hours are from 9:00 till 10:30 AM.?
