Yahanas Sidell Tabb-Bey, age 51, of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, passed away
unexpectedly on Monday, October 14, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. Born on August
6, 1973, in Phoenixville, he was the son of Carliotta Lyly Tabb-Bey and a graduate of
CAT Pickering Technical School, Phoenixville.

Yahanas had a presence that radiated energy, warmth, love and generosity of spirit.
He was an enthusiastic student, participating in many classes and plays in his younger
years. Yahanas loved community life and being involved in everything that Camphill
Soltane had to offer, including the bell choir that performed at Carnegie Hall. Being
the grill master for community events gave him particular joy.

Yahanas traveled to India with a group of friends to visit and help out at various
Camphill initiatives there. Much preparation and study went into this special trip to
familiarize the group with the very different culture and traditions they were going to
encounter. Another experience of a lifetime.

Yahanas had been connected to Camphill Soltane and Parzival for over 30 years,
creating many friendships that lasted decades. Parzival added another circle of
friends and experiences that Yahanas cherished. Yahanas lovingly assigned nicknames
to his many friends and acquaintances, which will be remembered fondly by those
who received them.

Yahanas was always proud of his work; especially when he became a dedicated
employee at Acme Markets in Chester Springs for over 15 years. He formed many
long lasting friendships wherever he went, including his coworkers at Acme.
He served as the President of Speaking for Ourselves in Chester County for several
years. Speaking for Ourselves is an independent, grassroots, self-help/self-advocacy
organization run by people with developmental disabilities.

Yahanas was a fierce wrestling fan and loved watching WWE. He was an avid football
fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons and could recite all kinds of
sports statistics.

He had a green thumb, was a great gardener and knew all the apple varieties growing
in the Orchard.

Friends and family were very important to Yahanas and he loved traveling with his
aunt, Sytanna. He traveled all over the world, including London, Germany and
Scotland. He loved his nieces and nephews and they were of the utmost importance
to him. Yahanas had a love for children and he became an "adopted uncle" to many of
his friend's and caretaker's children. He was extremely proud to be chosen to be a
godfather and shared this with people any chance he got. He had a deep love for his
family, received a lot of love in return, and no matter how bad someone's day was,
Yahanas was always able to brighten their day.

In addition to his loving mother, Yahanas is survived by his aunts: Rasheeda Taleah
Tabb-Bey, Sytanna Emelia Tabb-Bey, and Hieja Fatima Tabb-Bey; and a host of cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on November 7, 2024,
at Camphill Soltane, 224 Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore, PA, 19343. The Memorial will
