Zamena Andre Kisenda, affectionately known as Andy, age 58, husband of Jolie Kizeka, of Trappe, PA, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at home. Born in Kinshasa, The Democratic Republic of Congo, he was a son of the late Poline Zamena and Mukiese Lutaladio Kisenda.
Andy completed boarding school in Kinshasa before attending and graduating college in Belgium. After college, he made his move to the United States. With a drive, determination and work ethic second to none, he worked many jobs. He eventually found his way as an apprentice and worked under a local dry cleaner, where he gained the valuable knowledge to branch out on his own. For over 35 years, he would go on to own Zamena Cleaners, a dry cleaning delivery service covering the Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs. His knowledge of the local area allowed him to proudly locate any street in Philadelphia!
As a man of faith, Andy loved God and was a beloved member of Valley Forge Baptist in Collegeville, where he served as an Usher and Greeter in his earlier days of membership. Family and friends would look forward to his Sunday social media posts, proclaiming and sharing his faith.
Andy was also a man of and for the people. He held others accountable, invested in creating and maintaining friendships, and was always a listening ear. With his gentle, caring, and kind spirit, Andy was easily able to seek out, interact with, and connect with others. He genuinely cared and enjoyed learning about people and their cultures, and could oftentimes guess where someone was from after only a short conversation.
Andy was an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed collecting Philadelphia sports teams ball caps. He also loved music and attending concerts, collecting records and listening to his record player. He was a seasoned world traveler to many locations in Europe. He enjoyed learning languages, and trying international restaurants and a variety of cuisines. He had a great fashion sense and always knew how to dress for any occasion, especially for Sunday service.
In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by two children, Christopher Kisenda, husband of Alessia and Moraine Kisenda; four step grandchildren, Lorenzo, Ariana, Chiara and Mila; ten siblings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Valley Forge Baptist,616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
